OVERVIEW

CHALLENGE

Development of an alternative solution to eye-tracking to reduce the material costs incurred in the detection of autism by doctors in their patients. The mobile application simulates a user’s field of vision by presenting a blurred image, sharpened at the point of contact between the user’s finger and the device. The data is then collected anonymously on AWS and analysed to detect differences in behaviour and highlight possible pathologies.

TEAMWORK APPROACH

  • Development of a reusable image processing framework with real-time image blurring, high performance thanks to OpenGL ES 3.0
  •  Image exploration with minimum latency, data collection and sending to AWS
  •  Data processing by serverless application and heat map generation
