The company has to deal with regular hardware failures, on aging equipment that no longer provides high availability or expected performance.
As part of the group project “Go2Cloud”, the subsidiary decided to move its Business Intelligence system (based on BW on HANA, Business Object, BPC) to AWS.
The stakes are both technological (old HANA system) with a low migration downtime, teams distributed around the world and an end of hardware maintenance contract on 31/12/2019 and end of Windows 2008 support in January 2020.
Our customer chose TeamWork to guarantee the completion of a complex project, within a short timeframe (2.5 months of effective migration), while supporting the skills development of their teams in an international context. Cloud project governance in France, construction of an AWS Landing Zone dedicated to the Singaporean subsidiary, and Franco-Singaporean management to optimize migration resources.
TeamWork was able to propose a new design of SAP environments highlighting the power of the AWS Cloud in terms of recovery in the event of hardware failure and the switch from a four-node HANA cluster to a single node in order to improve overall performance, without any functional regression.
